24-month warranty
Every plate we make is covered for 24 months against manufacturing faults, free of charge.
Effective date: 26 August 2026
1. Our warranty
GOA Number Plates provides a 24-month warranty on number plates supplied by us. This warranty is provided at no additional charge and is intended to give customers additional protection against manufacturing faults arising during normal use.
This warranty is separate from, and does not replace or reduce, any statutory rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.
2. Warranty period
The warranty begins on the date the order is delivered to you and remains valid for 24 months. The warranty applies to the number plate supplied under the relevant order and is not transferable to another customer.
3. What the warranty covers
The warranty covers faults that are reasonably attributable to the manufacture of the plate or to materials used by GOA Number Plates. This may include manufacturing defects, abnormal separation of bonded components, or other premature failures that occur during normal and reasonable use.
If a fault is confirmed as being covered by this warranty, GOA Number Plates may, depending on the circumstances, repair or replace the affected plate. If repair or replacement is not reasonably possible, you may be entitled to another appropriate remedy under applicable law.
4. What the warranty does not cover
The warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by circumstances outside the manufacturing process, including accidental damage, impact, bending, cracking caused by external force, deliberate alteration, incorrect drilling or modification, improper installation, misuse, neglect, vandalism, or normal wear and tear.
The warranty also does not cover damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products, abrasive materials, harsh chemicals, solvents, excessive heat, or other treatment that is not appropriate for number plates.
5. Installation and care
You are responsible for ensuring that number plates are installed correctly and securely. Incorrect fitting, excessive force, unsuitable fixings, or installation methods that damage the plate may affect warranty coverage.
For normal care, use suitable automotive cleaning products and a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Plates should not be deliberately bent, drilled through printed or reflective areas, or subjected to unnecessary impact.
6. How to make a warranty claim
If you believe your number plate has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Please provide your order number or other proof of purchase, together with clear photographs and a description of the problem.
We may ask for additional photographs or information to help determine whether the issue appears to be a manufacturing fault or damage occurring after delivery. Where necessary, we may ask for the plate to be returned for inspection before a final warranty decision is made.
7. Warranty assessment
Each claim will be assessed on its individual circumstances. A warranty claim will not be rejected simply because you do not have the original packaging, provided reasonable proof of purchase can otherwise be supplied.
If the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing fault covered by this warranty, GOA Number Plates will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and your statutory rights.
8. Statutory consumer rights
This warranty is an additional benefit and does not limit, remove or replace your statutory rights. Consumers retain their legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, of unsatisfactory quality or not fit for purpose.
The expiry of the 24-month warranty does not automatically mean that all statutory rights have ended. Any legal remedy available to you under applicable law remains unaffected by this warranty.
9. Territorial scope
This warranty applies to orders supplied by GOA Number Plates within the United Kingdom, subject to applicable law.
