Shipping & delivery policy
How we prepare and send your order, from payment through to delivery.
Effective date: 26 August 2026
1. About this policy
This shipping & delivery policy explains how GOA Number Plates prepares and sends orders placed through our website. Our aim is to make the process clear, from the moment an order is received through to delivery.
This policy should be read together with our terms & conditions, return & refund policy and warranty policy.
2. Where we deliver
GOA Number Plates currently supplies and delivers number plates within the United Kingdom. Any delivery restrictions or unavailable destinations will be communicated before an order is accepted where applicable.
3. Order processing
Orders are prepared after the order has been successfully placed and payment has been confirmed. Because our number plates are made to your selected registration and specifications, production begins only after the information required to manufacture the order is available.
If we need additional information or verification before production, the order may be held until the required information has been provided. This can affect the overall time before dispatch.
4. Production time
Production time can vary depending on the product selected, the number of plates ordered, the information supplied and the time at which the order is received. Where an estimated production timeframe is shown on the website or communicated to you, that timeframe should be treated as an estimate unless a specific delivery or production date has been expressly agreed.
Orders that require verification of registration entitlement or other information may take longer to process.
5. Delivery options and charges
Available delivery methods and the applicable delivery charge are displayed during the ordering process before payment is completed. Delivery charges may vary according to the service selected and the destination.
| Service | Delivery aim | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Mail Tracked 48 | 2–3 working days, tracked | £5.55 |
| Royal Mail Tracked 24 | Next working day, tracked | £6.55 |
| Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm | Guaranteed next working day by 1pm, signed for | £11.45 |
Delivery aims are not guarantees, except for Special Delivery Guaranteed. Charges shown are current at the time of writing and may be updated; the charge shown at checkout applies to your order.
GOA Number Plates will not add an undisclosed delivery charge after an order has been placed.
6. Estimated delivery times
Any delivery timeframe displayed on the website or provided with an order is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise. Delivery times can be affected by courier delays, weekends, public holidays, adverse weather, transport disruption and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where no different delivery period has been agreed with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the maximum period required by applicable UK consumer law.
7. Dispatch confirmation
When an order has been dispatched, we may provide you with dispatch or tracking information where the selected delivery service provides it. Tracking information is supplied to help you follow the delivery and does not itself guarantee a particular delivery date.
8. Delivery address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout. Please check the address carefully before submitting the order.
If an order has not yet been dispatched and you notice an address error, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to correct the address where reasonably possible, but cannot guarantee that an amendment can be made after an order has entered the dispatch process.
9. Delayed deliveries
If an order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery status. Where tracking is available, we may use the courier’s tracking information when investigating a delay.
If a delivery fails because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, any additional delivery arrangements may need to be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to your legal rights.
10. Lost or missing parcels
If a parcel appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us. We may need to contact the delivery provider and investigate the shipment before arranging an appropriate resolution.
We will not ask you to waive statutory rights simply because a parcel has been handed to a delivery provider.
11. Damaged on arrival
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If a plate arrives damaged, contact us promptly and provide photographs showing the packaging and the affected plate where possible.
We will assess the issue and, where the damage is our responsibility or the product does not meet the required standard, provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and our return & refund policy.
12. Incorrect or missing items
If an order contains the wrong plate, an incorrect specification or a missing item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with the order number and relevant photographs or information. We will investigate and arrange an appropriate solution where the error is attributable to us.
13. Delivery risk
For consumer orders, responsibility for the goods remains with GOA Number Plates until the goods come into your physical possession, or that of a person identified by you to receive them, except where you independently arrange a carrier that was not offered by us.
14. Orders requiring customer verification
Some number plate orders require evidence of identity or entitlement to the registration number before manufacture or supply. Where verification is required, production and dispatch will not proceed until the necessary information has been received and accepted. See document requirements.
15. Personalised number plates
Because number plates are manufactured using the registration number and specifications you supply, please check all order details carefully before payment. Delivery of a plate does not alter your responsibility for ensuring that the registration number is lawfully used on the vehicle.
16. Unforeseen circumstances
We will take reasonable steps to fulfil orders as agreed, but delivery can sometimes be affected by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, major transport disruption, courier network problems, technical failures or other significant events. Where such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the delay and keep you informed where appropriate.
17. Contact about delivery
For delivery questions, please contact us using the details on our contact page. Telephone support is available from 08:00 to 14:00. After 14:00, delivery enquiries should be sent by email to info@goanumberplates.co.uk.
18. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits or removes any statutory consumer rights. Where a delivery fails to meet an agreed or legally required timeframe, you may have rights to request a further reasonable delivery period or to end the contract in accordance with applicable law.
