Payment policy

Secure payments and order processing.

Effective date: 26 August 2026

1. About this policy

This payment policy explains how payments are handled when you place an order with GOA Number Plates. We aim to make payment straightforward, secure and clear before an order is submitted.

This policy should be read together with our terms & conditions, return & refund policy and other website policies.

2. Accepted payment methods

GOA Number Plates accepts the payment methods made available at checkout. Online card payments are processed by SumUp. The payment options displayed to you may depend on the payment provider, your device, the value of the order and other factors determined by the payment service.

The payment methods available at the time of purchase will be shown before you complete your order.

3. When payment is taken

Payment is normally requested when you place an order through the website. An order will normally proceed to production after the payment has been successfully authorised or received and any required order information or verification has been completed.

If payment is unsuccessful, the order may not be accepted for production until the payment issue has been resolved.

4. Payment security

Payments made through the website are processed on the payment provider’s own secure page. GOA Number Plates does not request, see or store your full card number, security code or other payment credentials.

Please only enter payment information through the secure payment process presented during checkout. Never send card details by email, telephone message or social media — we will never ask you to.

5. Order confirmation

After a successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation containing the relevant order information and a link to your order page. Receiving a payment confirmation does not remove our right to address an order issue that could not reasonably be identified at the time of payment, including a genuine pricing, stock, technical or verification problem.

6. Pricing and payment amount

The amount payable for the order is the total shown at checkout before payment is completed, including any applicable delivery charge. Prices may be updated from time to time, but a confirmed order will be handled according to the applicable terms and price shown when the order was placed, subject to genuine errors or circumstances described in our terms & conditions.

7. Failed, declined or incomplete payments

If a payment is declined, interrupted or otherwise not completed, the order may remain unconfirmed and production may not begin. Please check with your payment provider if a payment appears to have failed.

If you believe you have been charged but have not received an order confirmation, contact us before attempting to place the same order again.

8. Duplicate payments

If you believe that the same order has been charged more than once, please contact us as soon as possible with the relevant order or payment information. We will investigate the transaction and arrange any appropriate correction or refund where a duplicate charge has occurred.

9. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible. The time for the refunded amount to appear in your account can depend on your payment provider or bank.

Further information about when a refund may be available is provided in our return & refund policy.

10. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe there is a problem with a payment or order, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can investigate the issue and try to resolve it promptly.

Nothing in this policy prevents you from exercising any legal right or using any lawful payment dispute process available to you.

11. Fraud prevention

To protect customers and the business, orders may be subject to reasonable payment and fraud-prevention checks. Where an order presents a genuine security concern or cannot be verified, we may delay, decline or cancel the order and refund any payment already received where appropriate.

12. Payment information and privacy

Personal information connected with an order or payment is handled in accordance with our privacy policy. Payment providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies when they provide the payment service.

13. Contact us about a payment

For payment questions, please contact us using the details on our contact page. Telephone support is available from 08:00 to 14:00. After 14:00, payment enquiries should be sent by email to info@goanumberplates.co.uk.

14. Statutory rights

Nothing in this payment policy removes or limits any statutory consumer rights. Where a payment, order cancellation, refund or other matter is governed by applicable UK consumer law, those legal requirements will apply.
